About

Aim of Cashtute

My principal aim is to help improve financial literacy for all. I want to really tear down the barriers of the financial industry, foster greater inclusiveness and empower people to become more financially astute.

I want to help you elevate your financial literacy and empower you to make more confident, astute decisions regarding your finances. To become ‘Cashtute’.

I want to cut through the crap, impart my knowledge, and review what tools and approaches I think are good.

About me

I work in the asset management industry in London advising institutional investors and asset managers on corporate and product strategy. I have worked in the industry for almost 10 years at both large pan European asset managers and global hedge funds in a variety of roles across business development and marketing, product strategy and corporate strategy.

How it all began

I am continually struck by the low level of financial literacy across society. This is not a fault of the individual – I am amazed how financial literacy has never found its way onto a school curriculum. Finances, investing and management of budgets, whilst not particularly sexy (unless you are finance geek like myself!) is a really critical life skill.

Failure to manage your finances, live within your means and maintain a good credit score can have really lasting negative impacts on one’s life particularly in terms of borrowing and getting on the property ladder.

Similarly, failure to understand investing can result in selecting unsuitable investments and limit your ability to grow a nest egg for the future.

Having worked in the industry, I also fully appreciate how complex it can seem and intimidating it can be when first presented with any of the myriad of terms or descriptions.

I hope to solve for all of the above and more through Cashtute.
